KITTYMOD!
i was looking at extremely old versions of minecraft, and realized these versions were missing a crucial element....
KITTIES!!!!!!
that's right, these versions do not contain any cats!!!!!!! that must be why no one plays them, and for no other reasons... i sought to correct this crucial imbalance IMMEDIATELY.
introducing....
THE KITTY MOD, FOR MINECRAFT VERSION RD-161348-LAUNCHER!!!!!!!!!!
rd-161348-launcher is a version which contains only 2 blocks and the ability to move around and break and place them. it also spawns 100 randomly moving humans when loading into the game. kitty mod replaces the model for half of these humans with a cute kitty, and literally nothing else. they act exactly the same. unrelated, it is my first ever minecraft mod.

Install Instructions
i don't know who else is interested in a mod like this for a version this old, but if for some reason you want to give this a whirl, the steps are as follows....
- first, install the betacraft launcher.. for those not 'in the know', this is a fan-made launcher that launches old versions of minecraft better than the current launcher can!
- secondly, once you have set up betacraft (there are tutorials).. youll want to make an instance with the version rd-161348 and load it up. you only need to load it successfully once - doing that generates a world and all of the files and stuff..
- afterwards, go into your .betacraft folder (in %APPDATA%), and within that, the versions folder.. locate pc-132128.jar (please do not rename the .jar file, this will cause it to not work!)
- download mod
- right click and open the jar file with 7zip or winrar.. or some kind of alternative i dont know about.. then drag and drop the folders inside the mod folder (youll be dragging a png and a folder in) into the .jar
- agree to replace files if prompted
- boot up game and if all has gone well you should see cats!
hope you enjoy the mod if you get it.. you really cant do a lot with it, but i find the cats entertaining to look at.. this version of minecraft is a surprisingly good time-killer, more fun than the version that came before it since you can try and trap mobs and stuff.. anyway, i am thinking i might try and do a version 2.0 of this mod that's less jank eventually! let me know if there is any interst...
BTW! credits to retroMCP-java! initially trying to figure out how to use it was the most confusing and rage inducing experience of maybe my entire life but once i got the hang of it i was very glad that such a thing could enable me to see minecraft secrets and add to minecraft code..... very wonderful that such a thing exists even for a version as old as this.
